How ironic…

My horoscope for today.

“This would be an ideal day to take extra care of your body, Jennifer…Pick up the phone and make that appointment… It won’t kill you to set aside your ambition and responsibilities for one day.”

I made an appointment with my doctor YESTERDAY for tomorrow morning. I feel icky. And I have my final dress rehearsal for my trial technique class tonight (actual trial on Saturday) and I could care less. What an attitude to have…I just want to get everything over so I can go back to bed…

Blah.

And this weather does not help either.

Time to get in the shower, put on a suit and put on that *fake together* persona. Blah indeed.

Sadness in the Buffalo Blog World tonight.

One of our own…lost his little Baby Quinn.

I have no words. Everything in my life seems so petty.

Imm so sorry. We are all here to support you.

Please friends in the blog world (near and far) keep Kelly and The Wife and The Daughter in your prayers. And if you are interested…email me for details on how/where/what to give/visit/help out the family during this time of need.

And thank you to ALL who have responded. You guys are an amazing AMAZING bunch of people. THAT is what I love about Buffalo the most…the people. And the hearts, three sizes too big.

Tis the season

Thank you to Dayna for passing this along!

You HAVE to check it out these little kids list what they want to be when they grow up! Some of the answers are priceless!

“Cheerleader, Good Dad, Ice Cream Maker, Princess, McDonald’s Worker, Dog Catcher, Crime Scene Investigator, Doctor for Big People, Hotel Manager, Spiderman, Paleontologist, Work for the SPCA, Take care of children, Deliver Babies”

This holiday season a website has been set up where you can sign up to give a Christmas gift to a child in need in our community. At http://www.buffalochristmaswishes.com/, the Christmas wishes of over 100 children are listed. All of the children attend the Enterprise Charter School and are in kindergarten, first, or second grade.

These children have asked for gifts as simple as ‘different colored paper’ and ‘a pretty blanket,’ as interesting as a ‘purple lava lamp’ and as classic as an ‘Easy Bake Oven.’ What is apparent from viewing all of the wishes is that it would take very little from us to truly help a child have a better Christmas.

Please take a moment to visit http://www.buffalochristmaswishes.com/, and sign up to sponsor a child today. By signing up you can be certain that you are helping a child in our community have a brighter Christmas.

The gifts will be wrapped and then given to the children on their last day of school before the holiday break. With 100+ gifts to be wrapped, we are accepting any donations of wrapping supplies as well.

Log onto GoodSearch.com. The new search engine, powered by Yahoo, donates money to your charity of choice every time you search — at no cost to you. When founder Kenny Ramberg realized last year that search engines generated nearly $4 billion in advertising revenue, he started his own, aiming to donate 50 percent of the profits to charity.

It’s easy to use: Just go to GoodSearch.com, enter the charity you want to support in the provided field, and search. Don’t see your favorite cause represented? You can add it. Want to spread the love? Change your charity as often as you like.

Lyrics from Ron Hawkins

CRACKSTATIC

The hard sellâ a living hell went way beyond your means (escape velocity)
The real amphetamine was somewhere in between (statictricity)
The still-dead issues that stand up in your way (when its over when its over)
One less than beautiful day…

Years spent tuning out the static in your veins (escape velocity)
The long haul trip-and-fall put upright again (statictricity)
Well wasted, knowing the end result will be (when its over when its over)
One less than beautiful scene…

Sometimes I see a white-hot sound and all I hear is a piercing light
And I realize I’m not all right
The more you have the less you care, the less you care the more you lack
Gonna kick my boot until the static cracks
Until the static cracks
Crackstatic

BLACK MONDAY

Black Monday is coming around again
And it feels like a friend that just won’t take a hint
‘Cause it’s hanging me up
And it’s hanging around

And I’m feeling far too lost to feel too profound
When the tone of my voice is the loneliest sound
My heroes have all become pathetic clowns
And I’m feeling far too lost to feel too profound…

Perfectly stated.

Mariah Carey Is An Embarrassment To Herself

I was watching the halftime show on Turkey Day. What the hell? WHo is the NFL and their SPONSOR (gulp!) catering to? Cause it sure wasn’t a majority of the people in my Gma’s living room watching the game, but for my 13 year old cousin Jonathan. Ahem. I was wholly embarassed to be an employee of said banner on the field non profit.

Mariah should be washed up on the shore with her Glitter DVD’s not on an inflatable, inflatable something…singing at halftime during Michael Vick’s game. Grrr.
