My future step-cats. Ling and Keesa.

I am not really all that sure that Simba Cat and Sasha Kitten will get along with Mark’s two *very bitchy/prissy* girls. But it sure will be an interesting ride. I had a long intervention with one of them already and things seem to be moving along. I really think the only person in the world that they love is Mark. Sigh. Any advice?
Yes, we will be moving to a new place for all of them, so that makes it SOMEWHAT easier
And they all have claws. And are all fixed. BUT…Sasha Kitten my little one…is about twice the size of Keesa and 3X the weight of Little Lightweight Ling. Therefore SIMBA cat? Well he probably weighs as more than both cats combined!
Eventually they’ll tolerate one another–at worst. I say give them craploads of catnip and see what comes out of it all.
Catnip soothes my soul and makes me open to new cats…
Hi,
It will depend on whose territory is being invaded. That is the way the cats will look at it. Or are you moving to a new place for all? If possible they should be kept in separate rooms. Give the cats time to explore their new surroundings without the others around. Introduce them to each other slowly, a little bit at a time, under supervision. Eventually they will get used to each other and establish their territories and pecking order. You will just have to be patient and loving to all.
Hope this helps (I’ve been there done that ;o>.)

Some very good suggestions here, particularly keeping them in separate rooms. Ideally, they should be able to smell eachother while separated. Perhaps adjoining bedrooms that share heating duct outlest?
Is everybody fixed, and are they all on equal clawed/declawed footing? I’ll wager that a kitty arms race would make for an unhappy Jen(nifer).
Even if you can come up with an uneasy truce, it will be ok. We have six and on rare occasions they have accidentally all been sleeping together. Most of the time they pair up and go off on their own.
