Build a hotel. Build a hotel. Build a hotel.
You would’ve never guessed that this RINO Republican and former Sorority Spirit Chair would find herself at a loss for rhyming catchy slogans involving business interests in my backyard. But I did…: ) I tried though!!! And I do say, it was my very FIRST protest (not just first protest against the protesters) and I wanted to remain a wee bit under the radar…
Turns out “Honk for Progress” was the most effective chant of the evening. Audience participation wins out every time. Especially when these people are involved.
nu=3236>;43>274>WSNRCG=3233963966385nu0mrj”>Thanks to WNYMEDIA.NET and Buffalo Rising for bringing NEW BUFFALO out in the streets with our message. And by the way, JUST in case you read the story in the Buffalo News…according to um, everyone else but the NEWS reporter…the numbers were about “5 or 6 hotel protesters and 25-30 hotel supporters.”

NOT what the News printed…”Though the hotel’s supporters outnumbered its opponents 2-to-1, those speaking out against the development were just as vocal – if not more so.”

One woman in an orange dress shouting does not make a movement more VOCAL. Sigh…Quite a few of us actually DO LIVE in the neighborhood too, as evidenced by the the bikes and the foot walkers to the event. But that my friends, wasn’t reported.
Brisket got the first online wrapup over here. (Due to server problems for the rest of us!)

great pictures! I could feel the energy. I say, Elmwood is a business district. Residents chose to buy homes right behind a business district. Business districts grow. So, what do they expect?
