I’m a BLUE pen girl…

And at my new cubicle in non-profit world? I am finding many, many black pens.

I write with BLUE pens! Can I justify ordering pens just because the color is wrong? I mean there’s nothing WRONG with the black pens…but I don’t like them very much. Purple pens are fun too, I have Erin to thank for that one!

I also must have multiple color highlighter pens. As disorganized I might seem in real life in my professional world…I am a multi-tasker organizer woman. Each color will represent something different. I need to order more highlighter pens ;)

Another great find? An entire box of Rubber Finger Tips. I have never used *a* Rubber Finger Tip, what on earth am I going to do with an entire box of them?

As you can see, I am having a FUN IN NEW CUBICLE day here at work. I officialy start tomorrow. However the training of the new person is um, complete. Answering the phones, not that hard! So instead of sitting and staring at her, I sought out my new space instead. ;) YIPPEE!!!

My office OCD was just endorsed by a co-worker who said that she too uses only blue pens. AND YELLOW LEGAL PADS! TC, you are my office supply kindred spirit! What would I do without my yellow legal pad? Hopefully the world will never know…

  1. I use green, purple or blue pens at work. And when I enter something on a company’s service agreement purchase order log, it has to be in one color. It doesn’t matter what color, but if the first entry was in blue then all subsequent entries have to be blue.

  2. I’m a blue pen person too. R is a black pen person. Will we ever be able to make it work? ;)

  3. I like red and green, myself.

  4. I go back and forth between blue and black pens, however, I’m so particular to certain types of pens, I have bought my own for work. It works out pretty well for me because nobody gives me any grief for being particular. I just bring in what I want to use that’s not on the list of things they will get for me without a fuss.

  5. I like blue, especially for adding comments to documents, My justification is that photocopies are all black, but stuff written in blue is obviously not a copy.

  6. Those rubber finger tips are very handy when sorting large numbers of papers!

Really, Jen, they don’t cut down sensitivity @ all! Don’t believe him when he refuses to use them!

  7. I prefer mechanical pencils. I always check the desk of the recently departed to restock my supply.

  8. I can’t live without my white paper. And I have this fetish about stealing as many free pens as I can and that is really all I use. (Could it be the non-profit world that has done this to me. We are not allowed to order the good pens anyway.) I can’t stand BIC pens, their just yucky and make my writing look funny.

P.S. – Just go ahead and try to order those really expensive pens and our will squash your order. tee hee!!

  9. Tuck is a smarty pants ;) Thanks for commenting everyone! 8 comments over pens. The blog world is strange indeed…
