Um, ok.

Age difference is key to having most kids

To have the most children, men should find a partner six years younger and women a mate four years older, Austrian researchers said on Wednesday.

Hmmm. I am six years (ish) younger than Mark. But if I wanted to have to most kids I should find someone only four years older? But how can that work? Shouldn’t there be the same age gap for a couple? Whatever. I don’t want “many” children anyhow. Odd study, really.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA….

 …AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Now that that’s off my chest…

Fall…into a good mood.

My mood broke. I applied for jobs last night and feel GOOD again!

Starbucks is now offering their PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE! Hurrah! And they added a whole lotta extra happyI went in for a Frap but started smiling about FALL! End of Summer! Fall! Fall! Fall!

And also, I remembered that next weekend, Auntie Carroll and I are seeing GENESIS! And in honor of this occasion I changed the header above. Genesis Fans, Circa 1976. :)

Yay for today! (But why does it have to be so darn BUSY!!!!!!!!)

And the search is on…

Tis good to know that I have A LOT of good correction, make that AMAZING people out there helping me out with the job search…networking, networking, networking! (Maybe I can get paid to put these skills to use?) I am shocked at how many people I know. From where I was only two-three short years ago to know is a lifetime of difference. I found several positions I can get excited about, and I actually know people at all the organizations who can put in a good word for me. Amazing. I’m very awestruck at the power of the blog, my community involvement and employment at the large non-profit I’ve been at the last few years. It’s a nice feeling.

Anyhow.

I found this interesting position posted at Rich Products. I am sooooo not qualified, but I would love to have this title on a business card!

Research & Development, Director of Toppings & Icings.

Should Fund Raisers Get Linkedin?

Gayle Roberts, a fund-raising consultant in San Francisco, is encouraging fund raisers to use social-networking Web sites to garner donors and job opportunities.

On her blog, Ms. Roberts writes that she signed up for one such site, Linkedin, less than a month ago, and it led to a job offer to lead a $45-million capital campaign.

“Though Linkedin has a reputation for being dominated by the tech industry, I think perhaps those of us working in nonprofit fund raising can also benefit from its use,” she writes.

To take advantage of Linkedin, Ms. Roberts suggests nonprofit workers keep their profiles up to date, invite friends to join, and sign up for the free account — while paid Linkedin subscribers have more options available to them, Ms. Roberts writes that fund raisers probably won’t need them at first.

Looks like I’ll be working on expanding my network! Are you LinkedIn?

Since last week at this time, I’ve been having a very hard time with the present…

Thank you for the reminder Daily Om.

Present In The Progression
Letting Life Unfold

Our lives are guided by natural rhythms that are particular to each of us and cannot be altered by force of will alone. Life itself is a journey made up of processes and events that manifest before us only to be swept away when time marches on. Whether we envision ourselves creating a career, building a family, or developing the self, we instinctively know when the time has come for us to realize our dreams because all that is involved comes together harmoniously. When the time is right, the passage of destiny cannot be blocked. The present can be challenging, uncomfortable, and tedious, but life unfolds as it will, and the universe will wait patiently as we make our way into the unknown.

When you feel yourself growing impatient because the pace of your development is deceptively slow, remember that everything that will occur in your life will occur in its own time.

We apologize for the site being down. However, the sheer awesomeness of our content and overwhelming traffic numbers in the past few days have overwhelmed our web hosting company. We are working to rectify the problem ASAP and we hope to be back up and running in the next couple of hours.

My email this morning said that WNYMEDIA should be up any moment. Stay tuned…
