Week 1 under my belt stretchy sundress. And I’ve lost…
Mind you I’m aware that this is mostly bloat and water. However, it is encouraging.
I’ve been making better choices this week.
For example:
I’ve been drinking a ridiculous amount of water. Water with lemon. Water with unsweetened natural cranberry juice. Water with water. More water please!
I went out to dinner to Prospero with Bobby one night. We ordered two dinners, without getting the bottle of wine (that is until Tom joined us and then the two boys shared the bottle.) I ordered Chicken Picatta but didn’t eat the side of pasta and didn’t bring home the side of pasta. AND I only had one slice of the bread with the delicious, delicious olive butter. Moderation.
I cut back significantly on coffee. And when I drink coffee, I take it with milk no cream.
I went out with friends Kristen and Tim to K Gallaghers and ordered…a Cobb Salad, ranch dressing on the side where I dipped and drizzled instead of poured. The bartender when clearing our plates looked to me and said “no egg burger?” No egg burger.
I pretty much eliminated all fried foods from the diet this week, until last night when I had two potato pancakes. Oh and a bunch of beers. Bunches of beers. However, I did not have the spinach bread, chicken fingers and fries or popcorn while at Gabriel’s Gate with friends last night. Just beers. (Moderation, I’m human.)
Even this morning? I chose a mushroom and onion omelet. No sausage. No bacon. Dry wheat toast. And coffee without sugar.
Yeah, yeah. I have a LONG way to go. This I know, however I think I’m actually sort of trying. And that says something. Plus, to me, my face looks a little less bloated. And my capris fit just a little bit better.
I need to incorporate some real exercise into this routine. And get up earlier. And go to bed earlier. And cook more at home for lunches this week (fridge is full of goodies!)
Who knows….look out for a week 2, maybe.

With the exchange rate being what it is, does that mean you’ve lost $15.40?
Yeay for you! You are doing a great job. It is so hard to eat healthy when you have an active social life and go out a lot. As for me, I can’t wait to get onto the scale…very curious what surgery and three days of a liquid diet have done for me. =)
