I did however eat a piece without him, how can I let that smell permeate the kitchen for 30 minutes and wait?
I’ve been smelling this Chuck Roast bathing in red wine in the oven for hours this afternoon. No wonder I don’t want to leave the house tonight!
Also, another quick way to clear out the fridge…I threw in leftovers of white chicken chili, creamed chipped beef and rice from our Chinese takeout the other night. Why not? And don’t forget the RED WINE. Mmmm. This stew is definitely not approved for children.

Last night I threw together a pasta dish which He Who Makes Me Smile has now named “Weber Ragu.” Basically, I made whole wheat penne pasta with spinach and vodka sauce and sage sausage. And added a little leftover shredded jalapeño cheese. AND a very secret leftover ingredient from the fridge which was creamy and spicy and delicious because the jar was just sitting there and I didn’t want to waste…
It was AMAZING. Seriously, so so so bad for me and rich and decadent and delicious…I ate more than my fair share last night and then every last drop of the leftovers for lunch today while my honey slept. No, didn’t even save any for him, it was that good it made me into a bad wifey.

I love seafood. But why is it soooooooooooooooooooooooooo expensive? I bought 4 giant scallops for $5 and two salmon filets for $10. Sauteed the seafood with garlic, green onion and mushrooms.

I sort of combined a bunch of recipes and ended up with this…
All Things White Chicken Chili
3 Chicken Breasts (chopped pieces)
Can of Green Chiles
Sauté it all up into a yummy pile of goodness. Then add to pot with…
Two cartons low-fat chicken broth
Three cans white beans (two of them puréed)
And cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
I then added 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and a carton of sour cream and a cup of chopped tomatoes from the garden. And cooked for 15 more minutes and then let sit for 30 minutes.
