No Noo Ramen

A ramen noodle restaurant?

STOP! DON’T EVEN GO THERE!

You went there, fair enough I did too.

I’ve been seeing a lot of BUZZ on Facebook/Twitter about the new ramen noodle restaurant on Elmwood… No Noo Ramen!

HWMMS really wanted to try it out, so last night we did. And WOW! They did not disappoint! The presentation was amazing, very pretty! And oh how tasty!

No Noo Ramen

HWMMS ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen -pork bone broth with roast pork, menma (bamboo shoots), kamaboku egg, bacon, garlic oil.

No Noo Ramen!

I had no choice but to order the Loco Moco – hamburger patty over white rice, topped with country gravy, two sunny sided eggs and mac salad on the side. It was the most ridiculous item on the menu, how could I NOT try it? Japanese garbage plate anyone?

NO Noo Ramen

Kelly ordered the most American dish on the menu..Chicken Katsue – breaded seasoned chicken covered in Japanese curry gravy served with white rice and kimchi.

No Noo Ramen

And Tom ordered the Yakisoba – stir fried ramen noodles, cabbage, bean sprouts, greens, roast pork in a savory sauce, topped with nori and sesame seeds.

Everything was delicious and fresh. Get thee to No Noo Ramen! (Just remember to bring cash, they don’t have plastic ability quite yet.)

Have you tried out No Noo Ramen yet? What did you think?

Knead the Dough: The Blue Room

First time in the Blue Room :)

Ooooh. He Who Makes Me Smile and I ended up in the BLUE ROOM for the first time at our favourite breakfast spot out in the country—Knead the Dough.

NEW Coffee Cup

And as usual, we had our pick of a table, I mean coffee mug. I always pick the table by the cutest coffee mug available. Turns out I picked this pretty mug, which was out for the first time that day.

Knead the Dough

The new menu design is beyond adorable.

Fresh Bread

Fresh bread on the counter. Such a charming lil place with such good food!

Knead the Dough for Breakfast

While staying in the country this weekend “He Who Makes Me Smile” took me to the cutest gosh darn restaurant in Niagara County for breakfast called “Knead the Dough.” It felt like walkin’ in to gramma’s kitchen! The whole restaurant was homey and spacious and had tables all over that looked like this!

Old school and gingham! I’m in LOVE!

The waitstaff was outstanding and the food, mmmmmm…no, I did not order The Holy Cow or The Big Pig but I could have! I had the meat lovers omelet with homemade white bread toast instead.

While my partner had Steak and Eggs.

Hearty portions, delicious food and just so darn quaint I could have stayed there all weekend. Can’t wait to make this a regular weekend visit! (Although “He Who Makes Me Smile” does cook a mean breakfast for me on the weekends…but once in a while he deserves a break. Hee hee.)
