A Blockbuster of a Blockbuster Sale!

I’ve been wanting to watch the movie Idiocracy with He Who Makes Me Smile for some time now. (If I had to sit through Zombieland, he can sit through one of my favorite dumb movies.)

So I wandered into my local Blockbuster to see if they had it for sale previously viewed and they did! The movie was priced $9.99 OR 4/$25. I like money. And I like a good deal so I kept looking…and found Blades of Glory! Now I have no choice. I need to find two more movies…

At the checkout the nice Blockbuster employee tells me my total and says “do you know what that means?” (Um, that I owe you $25+?) No! I get two pops, two candy boxes and popcorn FREE!

Being the obese woman with four movies in her hand…the first instinctive thing I said out loud to the nice cashier was…

Was.

“Oh, um, I don’t drink pop or eat microwave popcorn and don’t really need candy…but…”

WHA?

“But I guess I’ll have…well two bottles of water, you have water right? And well…um…” (Looks at candy for 5 minutes and picks two boxes.)

Yep, sometimes looks can be deceiving…the giant lady with four movies isn’t interested in the junk food.

Now tell me that a bag of Tater Tots came with any purchase of $25 or more and I’d be jumping for joy.

New Glasses Anyone?

Sometimes I even scare me with how awesome my brainwaves work with the universe.

Just this morning I was thinking “I really need to get a new pair of glasses.”Remembering that this past Friday I was thinking “I really need a pair of bifocals.”

(My wonderful expensive pair of BROWN bifocals I purchased broke a while ago. Unfixable so I’ve been told.)

I gots a cute preppy argyle sweater. On sale. Super cheap.

And cute green shoes with flowers to match(ish.) On sale super SUPER cheap.

Yet my most favourite pair of earrings in the world? That I simply HAD to have last year from Studio Hart? Cost more than my entire outfit. (Which still isn’t a lot…I think they were $25, but still.)

Oh…I also have matching green glasses and phone. Love the color green!

So many good coupons in the paper last Sunday…the cat food I buy had a $3 off coupon alone! (So of course I bought two papers, for the extra sets of coupons.)

So this was my exciting, trying to feel better and not congested Friday night.

I had to stop at my friendly neighborhood Walgreens on my way home from work this evening to get some shampoo…

I ended up leaving with what my receipt said was $48 in SAVINGS!

Packages of PENS and Mechanical Pencils are $.19 each. (Limit 6) So naturally I purchased 12. I bought them for work cause I’m sick of not having a blue pen when I need one.

Raisin Bran was $2 a box. Bacon was Buy One Get One Free.

Oh and I bought shampoo.
